This cute yet modern five bedroom villa with casita is now for sale, and can be found tucked away amid the pine forests of exclusive Porroig, on the hills of Puig Redo in the South West of Ibiza. This area is truly the last bastion of ´exclusivity´ for those in the know on the island, and those that hanker after total privacy.
There are three bedrooms in the charming and charismatic main house, accessed via an impressive driveway and electric gates at the top end of the plot, and 2 bedrooms in the lower casita, which can be accessed also via its own entrance, and so is perfect for guests and groups.
The Main house consists in total of around 250 sqm originally completed around 1994 but recently renovated and stylised to its current form.
The owners have created a very cool bohemian style villa on a number of levels, whitewashed throughout, and have maximised the space to create a very cozy feel for the winter months, but a very bright and luxurious feel for those hot sun bleached days.
The three bedrooms and en suite bathrooms are all of a good size, and the functional kitchen is also well represented utility wise. Although there is ample space to eat indoors, the superb outdoor covered dining area, with sea and country views is by far the preferred spot, for obvious reasons.
Down below the main house is the large stand alone casita, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and it´s own living area, kitchen, private chill out area, and own separate entrance, making it ideal for guests, visiting family members or wayward teenagers. The casita also has sea and countryside views.
There is central heating throughout.
From the lagoon style pool and outdoor kitchen and chill out areas, one can enjoy the absolutely stunning views across the countryside and out to the glass like seas. The sun sets over the pool, the salon, and the dining areas, and the lucky owners can enjoy the days, evenings and of course nights, in total privacy.
There is a nice outdoor barbeque, built poolside, separate outdoor showers, and a stand alone utility room.
The location alone will sell this villa, but the vibe upon entering through it´s doors with its minimalist touch and nod to the Ibicenco days of old will seal the deal.
Unbeatable sea views
Two separate access gates
2 indoor kitchens
The South West of Ibiza, along with it’s jaw-dropping scenic backgrounds, is glamorous, brash and exclusive, and with more stylish beach club restaurants along it’s shores than possibly the rest of the Balearic islands put together, it is idolised by big-hitting jet setters and local residents alike.
To be experienced at least once is the sassy and shameless Blue Marlin beach club on Cala Jondal (with it’s sister restaurant Yemanja perched daintily on the sand beside, watching with possibly a tinge of jealousy the partying celebrities popping Crystal jereboams next door). At the other end of the spectrum is the rapidly changing San Antonio (as the Brits Abroad pubs are slowly replaced by investors snapping up and converting hotels and restaurants left right and beachfront centre). The South West manages to somehow successfully mix this side of it’s personality with the ultra exclusive and uber-cool international residents tucked away in the hills of Es Cubells, and Puig Redo, and hidden behind the security barriers of the gated community Vista Alegre.
The focal point of the South West and an absolute must-see is the mythical and magical volcanic outcrop Es Vedra, so seemingly close that one could almost touch it from the shingled shores of Cala d’Hort. There are many urban myths that surround it, such as it being the third most magnetic place on the planet after the North and South Poles, and there is no better place to contemplate these myths than from a table at Es Boldado, the superb fish restaurant built into the rocks across the bay.
The main town, and gateway to the South West is San Jose, a busy bustling town which hosts various rock and jazz festivals throughout the year and is also no more than a quarter of an hour away from the incredibly popular beaches such as Cala Vadella, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa and Cala Conta (with one of the longest standing beach restaurants, Sunset Ashram perched above). San Jose and her surrounding areas are constantly in demand with property seekers due to the close proximity of all the beaches in the area, as well as the closeness to the airport and Ibiza Town. Consequently the exclusive villas in the South West are the most requested by high net worth holiday-goers in the Summer months.
